Following the finalization of new air quality rules this past year, with implementation dates starting in 2023, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) is seeking to further reduce emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) from consumer products, including personal care products.
This webinar, titled “VOC Regulations: An Introduction,” will provide PCPC members with a comprehensive overview of U.S. VOC regulations and of CARB’s role in developing and implementing these regulations, including activities in previous rulemakings. The webinar will also review the origins of air quality regulations, from the federal Clean Air Act to the development of personal care regulations in California and other states, and highlight the need for company involvement going forward. It will serve as a solid foundation for new regulatory professionals and as a refresher for those already familiar with air quality regulation and management.
