Packaging and recyclability requirements in the European Union are soon to take effect starting in August. Important deadlines are coming in 2028 for labelling and recycled content thresholds begin in 2030. Despite these deadlines, there are still areas that require further clarifications. In this regard, industry associations together with PCPC and Cosmetics Europe are jointly advocating to the European Commission to release needed compliance details. In this session Mohammad Salikandi, Regulatory Affairs Manager, Cosmetics Europe, will share the priorities for cosmetics sector, will explain the regulatory requirements, provide information on what rules need further legal clarification and answer questions.
